The HEARTS project team at CIS-Iscte organizes a 8-hour workshop focused on a method to promote mental health and well-being among students. The workshop "PhD Wellness: Fostering Mental Health and Well-Being in Higher Education using PhotoVoice" is open to Iscte's PhD students at Iscte.

About:
Within the HEARTS Project, this last workshop will provide participants with a space to discuss challenges and enablers for achieving positive health and well-being outcomes while conducting research as a PhD student or prospective PhD candidate. Participants will engage with and learn the PhotoVoice method, a qualitative tool that combines photography and narrative storytelling to capture lived experiences and drive action or change. Additionally, attendees will gain insights into the current state of mental health in higher education, as well as explore solutions and strategies to self-care and to promote wellness within and beyond Iscte.
PhD students from any Iscte PhD program can apply, as well as master’s students considering pursuing a PhD or academic careers, or those currently interning or working as research assistant at Iscte. This is a free workshop, but space is limited (30 people), so please register early: https://iscteiul.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d144wv8SafXJEwK
The workshop will take place at Iscte's Building 4 in two 4-hour session, April 8 and 9, from 09:30 to 13:30. The room for each session will be communicated by email to those registered.
This free 8-hour workshop is organized as part of the HEARTS Project (Higher Education Action Response for Trauma Support), an Erasmus+ funded initiative (Project num: 2023-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000158841). It will be facilitated by researchers Carla Moleiro (she/her) and Gustavo Aybar Camposano (he/him).
