with Rita Ricot Silva (CIS-Iscte)
Abstract of the presentation:
In this talk I will give an overview of the work I have developed in these first years of my academic career. My main research interest has been the study of the cognitive processes underlying the assessment of information’s validity, especially the cues underlying intuitive judgments, such as processing fluency. In this topic, I have focused on the differential effects promoted by distinct fluency instantiations and what this might say about how fluency affects judgments in a broader sense. In this talk I will also present my most recent research project, which has brought me to CIS-Iscte and which explores the role that the perceived trustworthiness of information sources might play on the correction of misinformation.
