Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon has been recognized with the HR Excellence in Research award by the European Commission. This certification acknowledges institutions that foster a stimulating and supportive work environment for knowledge creation, transfer, and sharing, as well as for the professional development of researchers.
With this distinction, Iscte becomes the first Portuguese university to receive this prestigious recognition, which had previously only been awarded to one faculty and nine research laboratories in Portugal. This award highlights Iscte's institutional commitment to advancing science in higher education and recognizing the strategic role of researchers in its academic mission.
The Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) has played a crucial role in promoting best research practices and implementing strategies to ensure favorable conditions for researchers' professional development. Its active participation in international projects has been instrumental in strengthening Iscte’s research internationalization and aligning it with European standards of excellence.
