Sofia Petisca is a PhD Candidate in Psychology and she holds a Master Degree in Psychology of Emotions (ISCTE-IUL). Her PhD Project is supervised by Francisco Esteves (Mid Sweden University & CIS-IUL) and Ana Paiva (Instituto Superior Técnico & GAIPS), with the title: "Using Social Robots to encourage Honest Behaviours".
Her interests are in Dishonest behaviour and human-robot interactions. Given what researchers already know about how people behave with one another, it becomes crucial to understand how they will behave with robots, since these are being prepared to integrate into society and "live" alongside with humans.
